I have a 5 new HP250 G8's that we have shelled out to employees. They are all experiencing the same issue. When connected to 2 external displays, at inconsistent times, the screens freezes and becomes unresponsive for 10-20s. We have had 1 monitor plugged directly into the HDMI port and the other off of a USB-C dock. Below are some docs and monitor info. Anyone run into this? Is it not possible to have this connected to more than 1 display?
Docks:
- Kensington USB 3.0 Universal Dock Station (MFG.PART: K33972US)
- StarTech.com USB 3.0 Docking Station Dual Monitor HDMI & DVI or VGA, 6x USB (MFG.PART: DK30ADD)
Monitors that have been used - All are 1920*1080 @ 60 Hz (the refresh rate has been adjusted down where possible, no change)
- HP P240av
- Dell P2414H
Monitors have been attached VGA, HDMI, DP, and DVI combinations. We have run both off of the dock, and 1 off the laptop, and 1 on the dock. All combinations are consistent. I have let Speccy run on the machines, and nothing is overheating or maxing out.
