Product: HP 32f monitor
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina
HP monitor unable to recognize MacBook Pro signal. Connected using HDMI as well as VGA, neither one works. I was able to see that MacBook Pro was able to recognize the HP monitor. But the HP monitor just kept going to sleep due to lack of input. (Btw, the HP monitor worked perfectly when connected to a HP laptop.
please assist. Thanks.

This seems to be happening to a lot of people. There is a pretty long thread on it over in the Apple Support Forums.
