Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear community.

I can't get 2x 4k monitors to work with my HP 850 G8 EliteBook and a USB-C Universal Dock.

According to the spec. I should be able to run the laptop screen and additional Dual4k @ 60 Hz.

Unfortunately, I can only select 4k in display options for 1 screen, on the other, I can only select up to 1920x1080p as max. resolution.

I have 3x LG 27GP950-B 27” Ultragear UHD which have the following inputs: DisplayPort (1x), HDMI (2x)

Ideally, I want to use the DP ports for my personal computer because of the refresh rate.

For my work related HP 850 G8, I was planning to use the HDMI port for one of the 4k screens and another DP port for the second 4k screen with a 4k adapter DP to HDMI and therefore end up with 2x HDMI Inputs.

Unfortunately this configuration does not seem to work so I went digging what could be the issue. I tried these different scenarios on the USB-C hub, which are:
- Scenario 1: Direct connection 1x HDMI to 4k Screen 1 + 1x DP to 4k Screen 2 -> failed

- Scenario 2: Direct connection 1x DP to 4k Screen 1 + 1x DP to 4k Screen 2 -> failed

- Scenario 3 = Preferred one: 1x DP to DP/HDMI adapter to 4k Screen 1 + 1x HDMI to 4k Screen 2 -> failed

Googling further, I have found a possible solution, which I haven't tried yet because only our IT guys at the office can access the bios:

So my question is (before I go to our work IT guys), would the option in the link fix my issues? Is there another way that I didn't come up with? I was also considering a last adapter method I can come up with, which would be USB-C to HDMI adapter, so using the USB-C output as well as the HDMI output on the hub and the HDMI inputs on the screens.

Thanks in advance

Just minutes after I posted this thread, my work IT guy wrote me to try the HP recommended option with the Bios setting.

And yeeeeeeeeeees, it worked.

I can use my preferred scenario 3.

Issue solved.
