Its been 2 months since I purchased this laptop. After using games like League of Legends I ran it on 60+ fps on medium high. Then it suddenly went black screen and restarted. After restarting the radeon settings disappeared. But since I started playing again it didn't affect my fps too much, but I lost my Radeon settings. So up until now I been playing without radeon settings and its always on 40+ FPS. And today it restarted again, and I got AFK ban when it wasn't my fault it was the Laptop itself restarting randomly with a black screen. I'd love to hear solutions.

Hey there! @xSoma, Thank you for joining the HP Forums!
I understand that Radeon settings on your PC are missing and FPS is dropping while playing games.
Don't worry I will try to help you out.
As you mentioned that your PC is randomly booting into a black screen.
Try restoring the BIOS to default. Turn on your PC keep tapping the F10 key.
From file select restore defaults.
Press F10 to save changes and exit.
Once you boot into windows uninstall the graphics driver from device manager.
Then go to control panel programs and uninstall Radeon software if it is listed.
Restart your PC.
Install AMD driver autodetect tool from AMD website directly.
This should install the latest driver for your PC with Radeon control panel.
If the issue still persists, please provide the product number of your PC.
I will try to find the best drivers for your PC.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Cheers! 🙂

@xSoma, thanks for your response and time.
Thanks for trying out the steps.
As you mentioned after installing the graphics driver you are getting a black screen on your PC.
Please try running a system diagnostics on your PC from F2 and let me know the results.
Refer this document to know how to run system diagnostics.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Take care! 🙂

Before trying out the system diagnostic, I used the restore point to get back the original files. When I ran the system diagnostic every test had seemed to passed. However, the Battery test seemed to concern me. It stated 'OK (0)' while the rest of test was 'PASSED'. Could the battery be the source of the whole problem.

@xSoma, Thanks for your quick response.
And thanks for trying out the steps once again.
As you mentioned the system diagnostics test passed. It can't be a battery issue as the battery test passed.
I think it looks like some of the registry files on your PC has corrupted or deleted.
Please reinstall windows using system recovery discs.
If you don't have one contact HP and order a set of recovery discs.
Link to contact HP.
I'll watch your reply!
Cheers! 🙂

@xSoma, Thanks for your response.
Did you contact HP about the recovery discs?
Did they tell you that recovery discs are not available?
If you don't find the recovery discs from HP. I would suggest you try to perform recovery from F11.
Refer this document to know how to perform recovery from F11.
I'll keep an eye out for your response.
I hope you have a great day! 🙂

Hello, its now 4 days since i bought this machine and so far ive realized it has some few hitches.
I cant be able to install java or jre applications...I also tried installing autocad software but it refused.
My speaker has a problem, at first when you play music its loud but as you continue to increase volume its starts decreasing rapidly till you cant even hear. despite the volumes settings level being high the music stills play but you cant hear until you replaying again the music.
I ve tried everything i could but i cant fix it, the only thing remaining is to as for a replacement from where i bought
