HP Chromebook 360 x 12b-ca0500sa
Chrome OS

Hi, I recently purchased a passive stylus (Staedtler Blue Noris Digital for Chromebook) and it doesn't seem to work in any application on the HP Chromebook 360 x 12b-ca0500sa, does this version of the Chromebook have a digitizer built into the screen that supports EMR Stylus? From the product description on the stylus itself, it would seem that it would work with most devices.

Secondly, what stylus, if any are compatible with this device?

Passive stylus is essentially the same as using a finger tip on the touch screen.

That said, passive stylus is not intended to work within applications - it can be used to open menus, click on an entry, simple point and click activities.

Your Chromebook supports this Stylus:

Thanks  @Dragon-Fur for your response. The stylus I bought is an EMR Stylus, but is not registering on the screen at all, certainly not in for example, Google Canvas. From what I have read elsewhere online, for this type of stylus to work, it requires the screen to have a digitizer. Can I safely assume that this Chromebook model doesn't have that?

The suggestion for the USI stylus in my first post is an HP recommendation for this Chromebook.

In so much that I am aware, the suggested stylus would work.

Passive Stylus is not (presumably) going to work with applications.  It is not an active stylus.

I cannot answer the question regarding the EMR pen.

I don't have an EMR stylus nor do I have a Chromebook.
