Hi @Moocha0128

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

You can tap your touchpad to click, or change the direction you scroll. Here's how:

  1. At the bottom right, select the time.
  2. Select Settings Settings.
  3. In the "Device" section, select Touchpad (or Touchpad and mouse).
  4. Change how your touchpad works:
    • Turn tap-to-click on or off.
    • Turn on tap dragging.
    • Turn touchpad acceleration on or off.
    • Swap your primary mouse button, if you use a mouse.
    • Adjust how quickly your pointer moves: Move the sliders next to "Touchpad speed" or "Mouse speed."
    • Choose type of scrolling: Turn off Reverse (swipe up to move the page up). Turn on Reverse (swipe up to move the page down).

Fix touchpad problems

If your touchpad stops working, try these steps:

  • Make sure there is no dust or dirt on the touchpad.
  • Press the Esc key several times.
  • Drumroll your fingers on the touchpad for ten seconds.
  • Turn your Chromebook off, then back on again.
  • Perform a hard reset.
  • If you have more than one account on your Chromebook, delete the account that has problems with the touchpad, then re-add the account.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hello,

If a key sticks in the down position, removing and cleaning the key might solve the issue.

CAUTION: Do not perform this step if the computer is under warranty. Contact HP to have the computer serviced before removing a key. If you damage the keyboard, the warranty might not cover the repairs.

If the computer is no longer covered by the warranty, try removing and cleaning the key.

  1. Turn off the notebook, and then disconnect the AC adapter.

  2. If your notebook has a removable battery, remove the battery.

  3. Insert a flat plastic pry tool under the top or bottom edge of the key, and then gently pry up on the edge of the key.

CAUTION: To avoid damaging the pad under the key, insert the flat plastic pry tool only 1/8 inch under the edge of the key.
  4. Use a cotton swab to clean the key and its slot in the keyboard. Use compressed air to remove dirt or other debris.

  5. Replace the key by snapping it back into place.

NOTE: Longer keys, such as space and enter, probably include a small metal rod for support. Make sure that you insert this rod into the key before replacing the key.

If the computer is under warranty, if a key cannot be unstuck, or if the keyboard does not have keys that can be removed, have the computer serviced.
