HP ENVY - 17t-bw000 CTO

One year ago my new HP ENVY - 17t-bw000 CTO started having touchscreen issues that made it impossible to use it (as if a point in the screen was being constantly touched) and I had to disable it completely. A few days after this the display malfunctioned completely (black screen) and the display had to be replaced under warranty (after days of trying to reebot the system several times, uninstalling updates, updating BIOS, etc).

Now, after a Windows 10 Update, the touchscreen issue has showed up again. I am worried that this will develop into a major issue again and leave me with a black screen at any moment. Is anyone experiencing this issue? Can I do something to prevent it?

Thanks.

Don't worry Windows 10 Update will not bring back old touchscreen issue.

I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

  • Run Performance tune-up.
  • Update BIOS.
  • Update Graphics Drivers.
  • Check for updates.
