HP ENVY Notebook 13-ab0XX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

My Hp envy 13 laptop has USB-C and according to specs, it should output display from that port. I have bought a new Dell UltraSharp U2719DC monitor, but the windows give this message upon the connection:

"Display connection might be limited"

It is a USB-C to USB-C connection. I have updated all the drivers and windows. I have installed all the latest drivers but I am unable to get a display.

Looking forward to your reply?

Kind regards,

Saad

@Saad12-_

What is your HP ENVY Notebook 13-ab0XX  ? For example

        HP ENVY - 13-ab002na

Your machine probably uses similar hardware which shows it only has 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 port and this fort does not  support video out.

Regards.

Hi Banhien,

It is HP ENVU 13-ab021nd, and I have used the same port to connect to 2 displays via a dock. Now I even tried with the dock, this display doesn't work.

Saad

Same deal. I can't explain why it worked before.
