HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 13-ay0008ca
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

My laptop suddenly stopped responding to the touch screen when I have the screen rotated into the tablet configuration. The touch screen is responsive to input when the computer is used as a laptop, but as soon as the screen goes past 270 degrees, it stops responding to any inputs. This issue suddenly appeared after the laptop went to sleep due to inactivity. It was fine before I left it, and when I came back, maybe 5 minutes later, it did not respond to touch when folded over.

I have tried enabling 'tablet mode', but this doesn't help (I also don't like it). I have tried updating drivers and windows through the 'check for updates' function, and I have tried restarting the computer. I would prefer not to reformat the machine, but I don't know what else to try. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you

I have tried doing a soft reinstall of the OS (retain files but reinstall all programs). Does this mean the problem is hardware or BIOS in nature?

Edit: I have now done a hard reset, fully reinstalling the OS. The screen is still non functional when flipped into tablet mode.

I need some assistance, my device is presently unusable as a tablet.
