I have an HP ENVY x360 Convertible Laptop PC 13m-bd0023dx. The touchpad has suddenly stopped working. It was working all day and then stopped after I got home. I have tried to reset the drivers, but the HP help page does not even have help for my windows version (Windows10 version 22h2 OS Build 19045.5371). The touchpad is not listed under the device manager or anywhere else in my settings. I am at a loss and need some help getting my touchpad to work.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP ENVY x360 Convertible Laptop Touchpad not working!
I understand how frustrating it can be but don't worry, I'm here to help.
Enable the Touchpad Using Keyboard Shortcuts:
- Some HP laptops have a touchpad toggle key (e.g., F5, F6, or a key with a touchpad icon).
- Try pressing this key (often with the Fn key) to enable the touchpad.
Check Touchpad Settings in Windows:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad.
- Ensure the touchpad is enabled and sensitivity is set appropriately.
Enable the Touchpad in BIOS:
- Restart your laptop and repeatedly press Esc or F10 to enter the BIOS menu.
- Navigate to Advanced or Device Configuration and ensure the touchpad is enabled.
- Save changes and restart the system.
Scan for Hardware Changes in Device Manager:
- Open Device Manager (Right-click the Start Menu and select it).
- Click View > Show Hidden Devices.
- Expand Human Interface Devices or Mice and other pointing devices to check for touchpad drivers.
- If the touchpad isn’t listed, click Action > Scan for hardware changes.
Update or Reinstall Touchpad Drivers:
- Here is the link for the latest touchpad driver.
- Install the drivers, restart your system, and check if the touchpad is working.
Perform an HP UEFI Diagnostic Test:
- Restart your laptop and press F2 repeatedly to access the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
- Run a Component Test for the touchpad or input devices to determine if there’s a hardware fault.
- Share any error codes or results for further assistance.
Note:
- Ensure your system is up to date by checking Windows Update for the latest updates.
Let me know how it goes!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
