Microsoft Windows 11

Hi everyone,

I'm having problems with the touchscreen on my HP Elite x2 G4 (Windows 11). In certain vertical areas of the screen, single touches are registered as double taps or ghost touches, making the device hard to use.

Details:
- The issue happens in specific vertical "zones" (like a column from top to bottom).
- A single touch sometimes triggers multiple inputs (e.g., one tap opens an app, then immediately closes it).

What I've tried so far:
1. Updated touchscreen drivers (from HP's official site).
2. Recalibrated the screen (via Windows Tablet PC settings).
3. Tested in Safe Mode (issue persists, so likely not a software conflict).

Question:
- Is there a reliable way to disable multitouch (force single-touch only) via registry/Group Policy/driver settings?
- Could this be a hardware issue?
- Any other diagnostic steps I might’ve missed?

Thanks in advance for any help!
