Hi, I am trying to use a second monitor ( AOC i1601fwux) connecting via USB type C to an elitebook 840 G7 and when plugging the monitor in it just appears as 'billboard device' and does not register as a display.

I have tried multiple cables which all work with other people's identical devices so I know the cable is not the issue, the monitor also works when plugged into my other laptop. Drivers are not an issue either. Is there a setting for the two thunderbolt ports that I need to find? I have tried all usual tricks to try to connect the monitor and it simply isn't working.

Colleagues using the two exact same devices are not having this issue - very frustrating!

Thanks in advance 🙂
