I just had this computer come through my workshop and after countless attempts at fixes and searching online and trying different (older) drivers, the only fix I've found that works absolutely is to uninstall the Intel Display Driver and just use the Microsoft Basic Driver instead. I know some will not consider this an actually fix but after two days of trying countless things, this is the best I could come up with and it works and yes, you will loose screen brightness control and sleep mode but at least you'll have a working computer and at this point I think that's the best we can hope for with any of these HP machines that have been stricken with this unfixable random freezing issue. Hope this helps someone. 🙏
