Hi All,

For a while now my laptopscreen starts flickering when the charger is plugged into the laptop. This stops when the charger is unplugged. The screen also flickers when I use another HP charger.

I'm running windows 11 pro 64 bit, the flickering changes when I roll back or reinstall the graphic card driver. The flickering does not occur in the bios screen.

Does anyone have a suggestion for what is causing this? Its very annoying.

I did all the test available in the software package. Only during the full run some errors came up for the battery and the charging connector.

But if the problem is caused  by an hardware issue, why is the problem not showing up when windows is not running?

During the tests the laptop screen did not flicker for many hours. In windows its flicking every minute like an analogue television.

I think the port looks relatively nice. The laptop is treated quite well.

Nope, these are the metal contacts for the adapter.

But the theory about the bad port doesn't explain why the screen is only flickering when windows is started and not in bios.

The problem started after hard drive was replaced with a second hand SSD. (the previous hard drive was causing the laptop having severe trouble starting from sleep mode).

Could a faulty SSD cause this as well?
