HP Envy x360 13
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I know when I purchased the Envy x360 13z-ay000 somewhere in the specs for the upgraded pen was mention of it supporting 1,024 levels of pressure.  While that isn't much, its better than none!  At present I am not seeing any difference in output based on exerted pressure.  Can someone please clarify this for me and / or point me in the direction to resolve this issue?

Thank you,

Sean

@badgenes Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are facing issues with pen pressure.

I would like to inform you that, there are no settings to change the pen sensitivity, however, you can calibrate the pen.

  • Go to the control panel.
  • In the search box type in Pen.
  • Click on the Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input.
  • Calibrate your active pen.

The HP Active Stylus does not support any levels of pressure sensitivity.

Not correct.  This pen and laptop DO support pressure sensitivity levels.  I've confirmed this finally using Clip Studio Paint.

Thank you.

I think you are misunderstanding me.  I've answered the question myself by installing an application that has support for the feature and the ability to test and adjust the response the application generates to the change in input pressure.  Clip Studio Paint confirms that the aforementioned pen and laptop do support pressure sensitivity.

The conclusion: Pressure sensitivity is supported in this configuration although in regard to levels I recall seeing 1024 but cannot locate that figure again.

Thank you for your help however I wanted to be sure you understood that your response was incorrect.  Perhaps in the future if asked you can respond with the correct answer in order to help you and those asking.
