HP Envy 17" screen hinge issue

My HP Envy laptop screen is separating from the backing plate and the hinge is causing binding when the screen is closed onto the main body of the laptop. This is a known problem. Does HP offer any recall repairs for this situation? I paid a good deal of money for this computer thinking it would last a while.
