HP ENVY - 17t-ae100 CTO
Microsoft Windows 11

The touchscreen stopped working on my laptop. I just installed a new Win11 updated, though I cannot recall if the touchscreen issue began prior to or after the system update.

I thought I may need to update the driver, but scans indicated that the driver was up to date.

I uninstalled the driver with the intention of reinstalling the driver from the HP support site.

When I search by my laptop model and serial number details, my OS (Win11) is not listed in the drop menu - only Win10. (Note: I have not used Win10 in quite some time; not since Win11 first became available.)

I considered reverting back from the new system update back to the previous version, but I'm afraid that since I have already uninstalled the driver, that I may still be SOL.

I would greatly appreciate assistance in returning my touchscreen functionality. Thank you.

UPDATE!! Please see my response in this thread to find my solution - Installed new BIOS

UPDATE:

I went back to the HP drivers, used the Win10 option... installed the diagnostic tool, and installed a new BIOS. All my functions (including touch screen) have been restored!

Just in case anyone else is having this issue, I'll leave my post up.
