HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-ew1000 (794B9AV)

I was working normally on my HP Envyx360 laptop, until I noticed that a small, rectangular piece had popped out of my display out of the blue. I can't open or close the screen properly. This laptop is relatively new, and I had taken outstanding care of it--I had not done anything that would have caused this damage. After meeting with a consultant, I've discovered this is not the first time an HP Envyx360 user has experienced this sudden damage. This seems to be a product defect.

Contact HP support immediately for warranty service, as this qualifies as a defect, provide model details and photos of the issue. Avoid forcing the lid open or closed to prevent further damage like cracks. You can try requesting a full display assembly replacement rather than partial fixes. They will guide futher regarding repair policy, visiting service center with required documents, etc.

To contact them, scroll down this page, expand the 'Support' section, click 'Support,' and select "Contact an HP agent for support" on the next page.
