Hi, I have a HP Envy Pen new from the box. I plugged it in to charge via the USB-C port, and it lit up orange and charged as normal. I used it a bit, and now the pen is not registering on the touch screen at all, and if I try to plug it in to charge the pen, no light shows at the top of the pen like normal.
Reading some other threads reccomend a battery change, but I do not see any kind of option to open up the pen and replace the battery.

Hi @dunks666,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you've encountered an issue with your HP Envy Pen. If the pen is not registering on the touch screen and doesn't light up when you plug it in to charge, there could be a few possible reasons for this problem. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
-
Restart your device: Sometimes, a simple restart can solve connectivity issues. Restart your computer or tablet and see if the pen starts working again.
-
Check Bluetooth connection: If your HP Envy Pen uses Bluetooth connectivity, make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on your device, and the pen is properly paired. You may need to re-pair the pen with your device.
-
Update drivers: Ensure that your device has the latest drivers for both the pen and the touchscreen. You can check the HP support website for the latest drivers and update accordingly.
-
Replace the battery: Although you mentioned that the pen does not have a visible way to replace the battery, some stylus pens do have a non-replaceable battery that may wear out over time.
-
Inspect for physical damage: Check the pen for any visible signs of damage.
-
Try on another device: If possible, test the pen on another compatible device to see if the issue persists. This will help you determine if the problem is with the pen or the device it's connected to.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
