HP Envy X360 camera not working

HP Recommended
HP Envy X360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Please can someone help....

I purchased a HP Envy X360 laptop from HP in December 2020.  The camera feature does not work.

When going into camera all I get is a grey screen (almost like something is covering the camera but there isnt anything).  I have tried updating the camera drivers (HP wide vision HD camera) but it tells me it is up to date.  I have deleted it and reinstalled via scan for drivers and from turning off and back on again.  I have also done all windows updates.  My laptop does not have a camera button on the side but does have one on the top row of the keyboard - this is switched on.

The white light shows on the camera and if I put my finger over the camera the screen goes black rather than grey.

I've now spent hours on this and am no further forward.  Please can anyone help
