When I calibrate my just-bought HP Envy laptop, the shown percent of the sRGB gamut is 97%. A 2017 review of the Envy states this:
"The panel produces an impressive 209 percent of the sRGB color gamut, which is much better than other desktop replacements that hover around 100 percent, like the previous model of the Envy 17 (111 percent)"
What can account for the difference?

Thanks for your help. My product number is 2YY28AV. I've run HP Support Assistan. I've checked Windows update just now and I'm up to date. BIOS is F.14. I've not flashed the BIOS. My system board is 8485 71.27.
Thanks again

Thank you for replying,
This graphics card could be reproducing colors in better manner with good quality drivers installed. The LCD panel may have better support for sRGB color and displays the colors more naturally than the previous panels.
I hope this answers your question. Let me know if you need any further assistance.
Take care now and do have a fabulous week ahead. 🙂

It looks like you were interacting with @Jeet_singh, but he is out for the day & I'll be glad to help you out.
I'm Raj1788 & I'm at your service.
sRGB gamut works with a pulse or minus 10% or 15% accuracy, a lot of things come into play when a change to the computer like driver installations now with the drivers reinstallation at that specific point it could have taken several of the shared system resources to display this number, so it is using optimum system resources of the display to show this sRGB gamut.
I hope this answers your question.
Have a great day!
