My HP Envy laptop that I have owned for 1 and a half years has a broken display as a result of the right hinge failing, causing the screen to fall out of place and crack. There may also be damage to the LCD display. I have quickly found that this is a common issue and as a result of a design flaw in the laptop. This is extremely dissappointing considering the high price I paid for the laptop, and that this is no fault of my own. As a result I expect HP to repair my laptop despite its expired warranty.

MY screen hasn't broken as yet but today the screen on the bottom left by the hinge popped out and now wont stay in. This was a very expensive laptop and I am very disappointed that this has happened. I have seen that its a well known problem. Can HP please tell me what they are going to do about it? The only way I can open my screen now is carefully open it a little, get my fingers inside the bottom left and support the screen while opening it. I dare not further move the screen once opened. This is totally unacceptable. This is used for a home based business.
