Much like others with the same laptop, I am now experiencing hinge failure on the right side of my Envy x360 notebook, through normal usage. I opened my laptop, a pop sound was made and a screw fell out. Now the screen is starting to separate at the corner and I am not able to open the laptop all the way. I am out of warranty and have been told that HP will charge upwards of $300 to fix this problem. I am hoping that HP will realize that this is a design flaw on their part and release a recall on the laptops. I do not feel comfortable investing over $300 in fixing my laptop when HP cannot guarantee that this issue won't happen again, and won't be fixed again without me having to pay another large sum of money.
HP, please respond. I have not seen any recalls about this laptop and yet, there are MANY other people with this issue.
I need a solution to fix my laptop that isn't going to cost me money. This should be something that is fixed by HP free of cost, as this is a DESIGN FLAW from HP!
