HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-es0000 (268T5AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I just purchased an HP Envy x360, 15.6" Convertible 2-in-1, and I'm wondering whether or not I should use a screen protector. I plan on using tablet mode a good bit including a stylus and have heard different things about screen protectors, ranging from "they're highly recommended" to "they're unnecessary and could even be harmful to the product". That's probably my main concern is sticking something to the screen that could cause damage or interfere with functionality or the warranty. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Eddie

My opinion:  Personal choice

As long as you are not gluing something to the screen, I'd not worry about a protector causing damage.

The protector might work as you like, it might be Meh, or you might dislike it - it should not actually hurt anything.

Whether you can use a protector with a stylus is a good question - the protector might interfere with the signal.

Seems like you'd not want to add something to the screen to make it harder for the pen to work...

Personally, I'd be more concerned about actually breaking, losing, cracking, or stepping on the computer.

Scratching the screen is probably near the bottom of the list.  That's me.  I don't speak for anyone else, of course.

If you need a protector to protect from glare, that's choice, too.

Might be necessary for you.
