Hi, I recently had my screen replaced (the lid on my laptop) back in October and noticed that after this repair when I try to use my webcam, it shows the image upside down. Could this be related to the repair, and if not what can I do to fix this? I have tried updating the drivers, uninstalling drivers, updating my laptop, everything I can think of. I am a college student and with all of my classes going online in the next week, I really need this issue fixed. Thank you!

Hi @SamanthaK
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.
It could be that the webcam was not installed properly while replacing the display screen.
Install updates using HP Support Assistant
- In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.
- Check for updates.
- If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.
Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.
Go to settings on the PC, search for camera > Towards the right-hand side, try to restart the camera by using the slider to turn Off and then ON.
If the issue persists, let us run a test on the webcam
- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- Perform Component Test > Webcam. Share the result on your next post.
For more info on resolving issues with the webcam, refer to this document.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
