Hey guys,
i am very lost right now.
I have a really nice working Envy x360 convertible. This device has a built-in webcam which works perfect until... i installed OBS Studio Software. This had overwritten somehow my camera settings for skype and the built in cam was no longer available. In a moment of a hurry i tried to reinstall the build in webcam, so i deinstalled the webcam via the device manager.
But now it wasn't found as a new device. I already had gave up, and wanted to wait for cyber monday to buy a new webcam, but then...
i started my shadow (Cloud Gaming Service) and the shadow found my built-in webcam and was able to access it (skype worked fine there)... So i regained hope and in my opinion it is just a driver problem. But i found no trustworth source for a dedicated webcam driver.
The shadow recognized the webcam as a "Chicony Electronics Cp. Ltd. - HP Wide Vision HD Camera"
Does someone has an idea, how to show windows that i have a cam and bring back my webcam back to live?
