Hi.

I have annoying problem, after one update of system (When I bought laptop, before update, all works correctly), my webcam disappeared from Device Manager.

My camera and microphone don't work. When I click camera app i see this:

Frontrunning your answer, a disable switch button isn't a problem.

I read a lot of similar topics, but I didn't find solution for my problem. I also couldn't found any WebCam driver for my laptop. How is it possible than HP don't support it and provide drivers for webcam?

Device is HP Envy x360 15-dr0003-nw.

Problem appeared when laptop was on warrancy (over 1 year ago), but I didn't need camera and microphone before. Now when I need it, I can't use it.

I tried to reset BIOS, also I restore my computer, still not working. After all tryings, now my kill switch button also not working. Before when I changed position of button I saw on screen open/off camera (also when camera wasn't in Device Manager), but right now I haven't both.

Could somebody tell me what can I do? Is it possible to reset BIOS (clear, cmos) without disassembly my laptop? I wanna to avoid that.

The simpliest way is install drivers for webcam, but I couldn't find drivers for HP Truevision HD.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue.
If you have already performed the steps from the document "We can't find your camera" error is displayed in the Camera app: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04100778 and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
