Hello, I have a HP Envy x360 running Win11 does not recognize Dell external display through HDMI port.  New HDMI cable connected to a new display port adapter.

Hi, did you recently upgrade to Windows 11, or did your laptop come pre-installed with Windows 11? Windows 11 has been known for driver challenges and hardware errors.

 

You could try installing Windows 10 and see if it will fix the challenge.

I don't think it is the fault of the HDMI cable or the port.

 

Also, please verify that you have the latest BIOS and the latest graphic drivers.

You may also decide to check for updates for your display driver on device manager as well as install and reinstall the driver.to see if it will help.
