I am running off of the 2025 update not the 2026.  I have tried to load new software "HPSupportSolutionsFramework-13.0.1.131" but I get an error on the installation -3.  I cannot use my camera.  It worked last week. It will not open teams or in other web based video software. I am also getting an error with windows for the camera.

 Here is my computer info:

HP Laptop 17-cn3097nr (7X329UA)

Hi @WI-Farmboy,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

It sounds like the software installation failure (Error -3) is preventing your camera drivers from communicating with Windows. Since your HP 17-cn3097nr uses the Intel Iris Xe architecture, the camera often relies on the "Intel Control Logic" driver, which can become unresponsive after system updates, causing the camera to disappear from apps like Teams.

Clear the Failed Installation and Reset Power

  • Disconnect all external USB devices from your laptop.
  • Press and hold the Power button for a full 15 seconds to perform a hard reset.
  • Open your Downloads folder, right-click the "HPSupportSolutionsFramework-13.0.1.131" file, and select Run as Administrator to see if the reset cleared the installation block.

Check Privacy and Physical Shutter Settings

  • Look at the top edge of your laptop screen to ensure the physical camera shutter (if equipped) is slid to the "open" position.
  • Press the Windows Key, type Camera Privacy Settings, and press Enter.
  • Ensure the toggle for Camera Access is "On" and that Let apps access your camera is also enabled, specifically for Microsoft Teams.

Re-enable the Camera in Device Manager

  • Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
  • Look for Cameras or Imaging devices; if you see the "HP TrueVision" camera with a small down arrow, right-click it and select Enable device.
  • If it is not visible, click View at the top and select Show hidden devices, then right-click the camera and select Update driver followed by Search automatically for drivers.

Please refer to the following document for further assistance HP PCs - Camera Troubleshooting (Windows 11 and Windows 10)

In Device Manager, do you see a category called "Cameras," or is there a "Universal Serial Bus controllers" entry with a yellow exclamation mark?

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

Best regards,

Kuroi_Kenshi
