I have an HP Pavilion Laptop with the Ryzen 5 Processor, and today while using it, twice, the display went black, but the power button on the keyboard was still on. I tried running hardware diagnostics, but it passed everything, Check video drivers, updated. Checked windows updates, updated.Whats the issue here?
Things to note :
This computer has been on for a while, I leave it on for extended periods of time.
There is no heating issue, the computers heat is nominal.
I did have a few ants around the computer a week ago, could, that be the issue here?
Another thing, Both times it turned off, i was using Unity3d.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... and I would like to help you.
(1) Update BIOS

Updating the BIOS is recommended as standard maintenance of the computer. It can also help resolve the following issues:
- An available BIOS update resolves a specific issue or improves computer performance.
- The current BIOS does not support a hardware component or a Windows upgrade.
- HP Support recommends installing a specific BIOS update.
"
(2) Install/Update audio/graphics
Realtek High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver | 6.0.9071.1 Rev.B | 91.7 MB | Jan 7, 2021 | Download |
You can only use HP certified graphics drivers.
AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver | 27.20.14032.8 Rev.A | 675.4 MB | Jan 7, 2021 | Download |
(3) Reboot and test again ...
(4) Check whether the external screen also goes black when an external monitor is connected via VGA/HDMI.
- external monitor gets black => GPU error !
- external monitor works, internal notebook screen is black => internal notebook screen error !
