HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 13-ay0005nl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, when I hover the pen over the screen of my laptop I get a small cursor, which works fine, as it shares the same functionality as hovering a mouse cursor over things. The issue arises when I decide to actually use the pen, especially to draw. In order to have the maximum precision before starting a stroke, it comes natural to use this "hover pointer" and slowly approach the screen, but when I put pressure on the tip to start drawing, the cursor moves slightly (<1mm). This is rather frustrating, so I'm wondering whether it can be solved by a regular pen calibration or if it's a different issue. Did anyone have the same problem? Thanks

Hi@Tintando,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing Pen issues with the HP ENVY X360 Laptop.

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • Try updating the HP Pen control and reinstall the pen HID drivers.
  • Experience pen-point accuracy with only 9g of pressure, so you can edit, draw, write, doodle, and more.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
