Its been a while since I connected my laptop to the HP monitor (2511x) that I use as a dual monitor. Through display settings, my laptop cannot detect it - I've checked connections, turned off & back on, and attempted to download drivers. Could it be when I updated Windows software something was lost? (I had to uninstall and reinstall my printer drivers - HP Solutions Center - in order to get my HP Printer/Scanner to operate again). Regardless of why this occurred, I just want this resolved and am at my wits end after troubleshooting for 3 hours.

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,
Have you tried to check with a different cable?
Have you tried to connect this monitor to a different PC and check if that works.
Let's try these steps here:
Step 1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the monitor and the wall
Step 2. Hold the power button down for at least one minute
Step 3. Plug the power cord back into the monitor and then into the wall outlet
Step 4. Press the Menu button on the monitor
Step 5. Navigate to the Factory Reset option and select it
Step 6. Try a different cable connecting your monitor to your computer
If the above steps did not resolve your issue you can try the monitor on a computer or other device to see if the issue persists. If the monitor is still not able to detect another device connected with a different cable, please contact our HP Support team for further assistance.
