I’m am trying to set up dual monitors using my laptop but keep running into issues with not finding the right adapter can you please refer me to the correct product I need to purchase

I wish it was that simple, but it is not.
I have an external monitor connect through a USB-to-VGA adapter and I had to try three different brands of the very same adaptor model until I found one that worked.
It was a drive issue as only the third brand supplied updated drivers; the others did not.
So it really is a trial-and-error sort of process.
