HP Notebook 15-dy1023dxmple: Pavilion 6530
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am having problems setting up a docking station for 2 monitors via HDMI. I have tried 3 docking stations 2 are usb-c gen 2 and 1 usb-c gen 1. neitherof the 3 work. on the laptop specs my usb- c port is a gen 1. can someone tell me which docking station works with my laptop please!

It ONLY has 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s) port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine
  • Connect to an external monitor with / without hub/dock/adapter

If you wish to have 2 or more external monitors (and notebook monitor - total 3), please enter your requirement on the following link and it will find for you few USB-A DisplayLink Certified options on market today including some HP products (you can select HP before Search)
