OMEN 17.3 inch Gaming Laptop PC 17-ck0000 (2Y4A6AV)

Hi! I've only had my laptop for 3 months. Was mostly used for graphic design work etc. was always sitting on my desk. Yesterday when i was working on my project, the horizontal line appeared across the screen. 

I've attached a photo of it. Anyone can provide any info if this is an actual hardware problem, please? 

Living in Ireland, they usually send them to the UK to fix, and it takes ages, and on top of it some of the stuff can be missing from the laptops afterward 😞

Hi,

Is the line always present (even in BIOS)?

It looks like a panel problem which can only be fixed by replacement. You should contact HP support directly. You can identify the PC in the link below and get contact options

Yes, unfortunately it appears in the bios as well.
