OMEN Laptop - 17t-cb100 IDS Base Model
Microsoft Windows 11

First time on community and checked for similar problem without success.  I have an HP Omen gaming laptop with Windows 11.  Changed display setting to turn off display after 30 seconds (plugged in) when downloading a large program overnight. That worked well.  But, now I cannot change the display setting to remain on when plugged in.  No matter what I set it to, even if set to never turn off display, it will not take effect.  Even though the new setting shows as never turn off - it still turns off when plugged in at 30 seconds.  Looking for you experts to guide me on how to correct this.  The computer has been rebooted multiple times since.  Thank you.

My setup

and it works on all my machines. Please remember to save/apply it first.

By the way, all my machines are connected to AC Power, nearly 100% when on.

Regards.

Thanks for your feedback.  The screen print solution you provided works on Windows 10 and earlier but my Windows 11 does not have the same setup.  It does not provide the apply/save buttons. When changing the setting to Never, it saves that setting when viewing it later - but, it never really takes.  Yes. the machine is plugged in and on power but it just won't activate the change to Never, even though it looks like it accepted in settings.  Thanks again.

Still hopefull I can get some guidance on this issue.  I have an HP Omen gaming laptop with Windows 11. Changed display setting to sleep after 30 seconds when plugged in when downloading a large program overnight. That worked well. But, now I cannot change the display setting to remain on when plugged in and not sleep. No matter what I set it to, even if set to never turn off display, it will not take effect. Even though the new setting shows as never turn off - it still sleeps when plugged in at 30 seconds. Looking for you experts to guide me on how to correct this. The computer has been rebooted multiple times since. Thank you.
