Microsoft Windows 11

Love the product but am finding the screen is very sensitive. Is there a way to make it less sensitive?

It is fine when I am using a mouse but other times I am just scrolling with the fingers.

Thank you.

Hi @nyudad, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
You can try adjusting the touch sensitivity settings to make it less responsive. Here are a few ways to do that:

Adjust Touch Sensitivity via Windows Settings

  1. Open Settings (Win + I).
  2. Go to Devices > Touchpad.
  3. Look for a Sensitivity option and try setting it to Low Sensitivity.

Modify Pen and Touch Settings

  1. Open Control Panel (Win + R, type control, press Enter).
  2. Go to Hardware and Sound > Pen and Touch.
  3. In the Touch tab, select Settings and reduce the sensitivity.

Update or Roll Back Touchscreen Drivers

  1. Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Human Interface Devices.
  3. Right-click HID-compliant touch screen and select Update driver.
  4. If the issue started after an update, try Roll Back Driver.

Calibrate the Touchscreen

  1. Search for Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input in the Start menu.
  2. Click Calibrate, follow the on-screen instructions, and save the settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
