I own a HP Pavilion 15 gaming laptop and I have been unable to use the type c (display port) on my external monitor. I have tried every solution I have seen online but nothing has been successful. My GPU driver has been updated, CPU driver has been updated , BIOS has been updated, USB Bus driver updated and software is on latest Windows 11. I have established that it is not a hardware issue as charging, data transfer and input is working fine via the type c port. However, when I plug in my dongle to extend/duplicate my screen, my monitor keeps searching for a signal and does not display anything. In contrast, the hdmi output works fine so I can establish that the monitor is not the issue. I have taken my machine to a technician who was able to briefly get the port to display on my monitor, but that was short lived as the screen went black after a few seconds.
If anyone has any advise on how I can fix this issue, please reach out!
Thanks,
Brendan
