HP Pavilion Hinge Broken

I purchased my laptop, HP Pavilion, in 2019 and have not damaged my laptop but the hinge has slowly deteriorated from normal use and when I went to close my laptop after class the hinge completely broke and now my screen is damaged and the laptop is not usable. I had to go buy a laptop as I needed one for class but wanted to get my old one fixed and return the one I just bought. I have always had HP and love their laptops and the windows interface but have seen a lot of problems with the hinges since I have experienced this and looked up more online. Is there anything you can do to help me? (I posted this as a comment in somebody else's recent post about their hinge issue but wanted to just make my own post)
