HP Pavilion Laptop 15-cs0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Pavillion's screen will time out anf not respond to any imputs. The computer remainds on and the keboard stays lit up and the fan runs, but the screen stays black and wont wake up. The only solution I have found is to hard shut down the computer. This has gotten so bad to the point that I had to do it 3+ times a day, and I had to change the settings to make the screen never time out. I haven't gotten the chance to see if that even works however, and I feel like it will make my battery die. I updated the bios and the "hp support assistant" says there is no more updates to do. PLEASE HELP.

@dmmiller11,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I recommend you run the windows power troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Here is how it is done.

  1. Press Windows and I keys to open Settings.
  2. Click on Update & Security.
  3. On the left-hand pane, click on Troubleshoot.
  4. Under Find and fix other problems, look for Power and click on it.
  5. Click on Run the troubleshooter.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!

Cheers!
