HP Pavilion 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-eh1000 (2H5A7AV)

*UPDATE*

The screen now only flickers when I turn the brightness above ~50%. Anything dimmer than that doesn't cause the flickering. This is weird though since the brightness of my display shouldn't cause that??

My HP Pavilion running Windows 11 is flickering whenever I turn it on. The screen gets dark randomly, starts flickering, and doesn't stop.

I've already tried:

-Updating graphics drivers (both from AMD and HP)

-Restarting

-Reinstalling Windows

-Resetting BIOS to default settings.

In BIOS, the flickering does not happen. However, after logging in, the flickering starts.

Any ideas why, and any potential solutions?

Thia is solely a hardware issue with the screen -- and is unrelated to the BIOS or graphics drivers.

This means your screen is going out -- so since this is new, you need to contact HP to see about getting it fixed under warranty or getting it replaced.

We have no access to other HP functional areas including: billing, repairs and Service Centers, sales, or legal (i.e., warranty). Nor are we able to contact customers -- via chat, via email, or via telephone.

For direct contact with HP, your best bet is to contact HP Customer Service to see what they will do for you:

That sounds about right. Any idea why though? This computer's pretty new, I got it a year ago.

Oh Oh, unless you bought a Care Pack, the 12-month warranty may already have expired -- and if that is the case, HP will no longer accept it to be examined and fixed.
