To resolve the issue with the touchpad on your HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14 after updating to Windows 11 23H2, you can try the following troubleshooting steps.

Check Touchpad Settings

  • Enable Touchpad:
    1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad.
    2. Ensure the touchpad is enabled.

Update/Reinstall Touchpad Driver

  • Update Driver:
    1. Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
    2. Expand the Mice and other pointing devices section.
    3. Right-click on your touchpad device and select Update driver.
    4. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
  • Reinstall Driver:
    1. In Device Manager, right-click on the touchpad device and select Uninstall device.
    2. Restart your computer. Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.

Use HP Support Assistant

  • Update Drivers and BIOS:
    1. Download and install HP Support Assistant.
    2. Use it to check for any available updates for your touchpad driver, BIOS, and other firmware.

Restore Previous Driver Version

  • If the problem started after updating the driver, you can roll back to the previous version:
    1. In Device Manager, right-click on the touchpad device and select Properties.
    2. Go to the Driver tab and select Roll Back Driver.

Check for Windows Updates

    1. Restart your computer and press Esc or F10 (varies by model) to enter BIOS.
    2. Look for touchpad settings and ensure it is enabled.

Run Hardware Diagnostics

  • HP Diagnostics Tool:
    1. Use the built-in HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool.
    2. Restart your computer and press F2 to run the diagnostics.
    3. Test the touchpad to check for any hardware issues.

Restore System

  • System Restore:
    1. If the problem persists, consider using System Restore to revert to a point when the touchpad was working.
    2. Go to Settings > System > About > System Protection.
    3. Click on System Restore and follow the instructions.

I hope this helps.
