HP Pen doesn't work on my HP Envy x360

I recently bought the HP Pen for my Envy x360 15-ar052na laptop. I checked the compatibility list of pens and laptops at https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05166879 prior to buying the pen and found out that the pen is compatible on HP ENVY x360 15-ar0xxx. However, the pen doesn't seem to register on my laptop when I start to use it.

Things I've tried doing:

1. I've upgraded my laptop's BIOS.
2. Downloaded the HP Pen control app on my laptop, but after opening it, an error message "Sorry, HP Pen Control is not compatible with this laptop." appeared.
3. Pressing the buttons on the pen.

What should I do?

Thank you for your reply. 

The HP pen model that I bought was 1MR94AA.

I also tried the pen on another HP Envy model at a shop and it was working fine. I also looked at the compatibility sheet at the website I bought it from (Amazon) at https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B06XVDK7TV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and I couldn't find my laptop model.

I don't have a better answer.

Unless I am mistreading it, or I cannot read your computer model correctly, the entry in compatibility document indicates that 1MR94AA is compatible with HP ENVY x360 15-ar0xxx

The Driver I posted for you is the one listed for this pen model - if you have not done so, download-save-install the driver and then Restart the computer.

Because the document claims the computer is compatible,

if installing the driver does not work,

consider contacting HP Tech Support .

Open a case using the serial number of the computer - explain in the case submission (online) that the computer is listed as supporting this pen - ask for help.

OR

I believe (though I cannot test it for you) that your regional Support allows phone contact without having first the step to submit the case online.
