HP Pen not working properly when laptop is plugged in and charging

I just got a spectre x360 13" gemcut and when it's not charging the pen works great. No skipping , great tracking , good pressure levels. But when it's Charging the pen is skipping and the mouse pointer doesn't track the pen when hovering.

Is the product defective ?

Update : I updated windows and HP drivers through the assistant and now it never works properly

Removing an re-installing the Ac Adapter and battery driver may resolve the issue, let's try these steps:

Please ensure that the BIOS is up to date, if you are unsure you may use the steps available here to update the system BIOS.

1.) In Windows, search for and open "Device Manager".

2.) Expand the Batteries category

3.) Right-click the "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery" listing and select "Uninstall".

4.) Right-click the "Microsoft AC Adapter" listing and select "Uninstall".

5.) Restart the computer, windows will automatically install the latest drivers.
