HP Spectre x360 - 13t-ap000 CTO
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello

I recently got an HP Spectre x360 from my brother and the first thing I did was install Windows 11 moving from Windows 10. After a month or so I remembered it had a pen so I found that and tried to use the Pen but nothing happened. My finger still works but the HP Pen does not work. I'm guessing it's drivers but I can't find any drivers for this Laptop that are for Windows 11.

Thanks

Hi @dpami507,

Thank you for sharing the above information.

If your HP Spectre x360 pen is not working, here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:

Check Battery: Ensure the pen’s battery is charged or replace it if necessary.

Reconnect the Pen:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
  • Remove the pen from the list and re-pair it.

Update Drivers:

  • Go to Device Manager.
  • Look for Human Interface Devices and check if there’s a driver update available for your pen.

Windows Updates: Make sure your Windows is up to date by checking for updates in Settings > Update & Security.

Check Settings: Go to Settings > Pen & Windows Ink and ensure the settings are configured correctly.

Test in Different Applications: Sometimes the pen may not work in specific apps. Try using it in a different app like Microsoft OneNote or Paint.

Restart Your Device: A simple restart can resolve many issues.

I have no idea what the Pen is called, it might just be HP Pen 1 but it's the one in the photo however mine is black. The computer has been set up and in use for about 4 years (with the pen working) but was recently updated to Windows 11
