I just bought a new hp rechargeable pen and it never gets fully charged. It just stays as the amber color and never changes to the white color even after 8 hours of charging. have seen this same issue on this board before but it was never resolved. It doesn't have a battery that I can access only the charging port so I wouldn't know how to replace the battery. This is ridiculous because it is a new pen and doesn't work. How do I fix this?

Hi @Kaya888,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating to deal with this charging issue, especially with a new HP Rechargeable MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen. There are a few steps you can try to resolve the problem.
Use a Different Charging Cable or Port
- Try using a different USB-C charging cable to see if the issue lies with the cable or the charging port.
- Make sure you're charging the pen using a power source that can deliver sufficient power, like a wall adapter, rather than through a low-power USB port (like on a computer).
Inspect the Charging Port
- Ensure the USB-C port on the pen is free of debris or dust, as this can interfere with the charging connection.
Reset the Pen (if applicable)
- Some HP pens have a reset button or process. Check your user manual for a reset procedure and try resetting the pen.
Update Firmware or Drivers
- If the pen is paired with a compatible HP device, check for any firmware or driver updates in HP Support Assistant or the Windows Device Manager that could resolve charging or connectivity issues.
Battery Drain and Recharge
- Let the pen fully discharge by using it or leaving it on, then charge it again from 0%. Sometimes this can reset the battery behavior.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
