Product: HP Spectre x360 Convertible Laptop PC 13t-aw200 CTO

The pen that came with my HP Spectre laptop doesn't work when off the charger. When I plug it into the USB-C, it lights up white (indicating that it''s fully charged), and I can use it just fine. But when I take it off the charger, it doesn't work anymore. I don't want to have to replace it again. Any help please?
