Just purchased an HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-eb0xxx last week from Best Buy. It came with an HP Rechargeable MPP2.0 Tilt Pen that is not functioning correctly. At best, it makes a few dots on the screen no matter what program I am in. Bluetooth does not see it, and there are no instructions on how to make it discoverable.
There is no supporting documentation for this pen, I have search the HP resources and the web.
Copied from the side of the pen:
HP Rechargeable MPP2.0 Tilt Pen
Component P/N L85658-001
Spare Part No. M07250-001
Model No. HSA-W001P

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
The touchscreen might not be configured for pen input. Check the touchscreen setting by going to Control Panel. Open Pen and Touch. Select Change touch input settings. Verify that the settings are correct for touch input.
The new pen works when the battery is inserted; however, calibrating the touchscreen is recommended. Calibration of the touchscreen is completed using the Digitizer Calibration Tool:
-
Type calibrate in the Windows search field and then click Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input.
-
Click Calibrate.
-
Select Pen Input.
-
Follow the instructions on the screen. For best results, quickly tap all the cross-hairs on the screen before the pen deactivates.
-
In the Digitizer Calibration Tool dialog box, click Yes to save the calibration.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Echo_Lake,
Thanks for trying to help.
First...there is no battery to insert in this pen. It is rechargeable. You slide the plastic up to reveal a USB-C port, and it came with a short cable to plug into the laptop. It is, and has been, fully charged.
Second...The calibration did not work. I did try calibrating for "touch" to make sure the screen was working, and it did. When I tried to calibrate for the pen, it did nothing.
Hope this helps, and one=ce again, thank you for replying.
