Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂

I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.

As I understand HP SimplePass isn't allowing your device to shut down after updating to windows 10,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

Did you attempt to reinstall the HP SimplePass program?

(Click here to find and install it, if you haven't done it already)

If you've done the above and yet the issue persists, try the below steps:

Series 8 HP SImplePass program V8.01.46A  for Windows 10 is now available:

sp71729 HP SimplePass V8.01.46A W7-W10 32/64bit

Driver first, reboot and log in, program second, reboot and log in.

Keep me posted,

If the information I've provided was helpful,

give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Good Luck.
