I have only had my Spectre for 11 months and already have a burn in issue. HP Support tried all they could. Took it to Best Buy this morning as I was instructed, only to learn that it's not covered under the warranty. Was quoted up to $600 for the repair. How does this happen on a $1600 laptop in less than a year. I had it set to go into sleep mode when I walked away, so I am upset with it not being covered.

Hi @zipporahs,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.
If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
Have a great day!

I brought it to Best Buy as instructed by an hp agent whom I was working with on the phone. They called and I was told that burn in is a cosmetic problem and as such is not covered by the warranty. I still have 3 weeks left on my warranty.
